Work

So far so good...two days of work under my belt as a new mom. It's nice to have some adult socializing as well as returning to a job that I really enjoy. The early mornings and long days will be worth it. I think Miles will reap the benefits of being around his abuela Yasmin and the rest of David's family during the day while I'm at work (he's already cooing in Spanish...he,he). We are so thankful for the support that we have. All this and I get to spend my non-working hours with a sweet baby boy! What more could I ask for?

Meredith,
It's great that you have family who can be there for you and David, as well as Miles. Aunt Beth was our "babysitter" for years and it was so nice to know that the girls were with family who loved them and not just someone's paycheck. It was a gift that I can never be grateful enough for.
Things will get easier for you being back at work. I found that as long as I was comfortable with the kids being well taken care of, work was a good outlet for me.

Meredith - what a great attitude you have..but I'm not surprised. I think you are one of those people who really doesn't know her own strength. Your little guy has the most expressions I have ever seen in one so little. He must be a real trip!

Hi, sister Karen and sister-in-law Sara! Don't you love these blogs? And, Meredith is doing such a good job at it, too. I am loving the red in the hair that Miles has going on. There have got to be a few Vikings on David's side of the family, too.
